Early Fridays is almost as good as my Off Fridays...I can get so much done. Today, I got off of work at 2:30pm and headed home to grab Micah for his doctor's appointment. Grandma had to stop at the post office so we headed there first and then made our way to the pediatrician.
Micah had his 18-month checkup today and although he only got one shot, it was still really bad...
I always feel so violated after leaving the pediatrician. All the things done at the doctor already freak me out, but its 10 times worse when it's happening to your own child. He was poked and prodded for his checkup and then was subjected to a shot.
I really wish they could make the process just a little bit easier on these little kids...
Micah was extremely overactive throughout the entire process though, which made a little bit easier. Usually, he sees the nurse and starts crying; I would have to carry him into the room kicking and screaming. But now, he says Hi! and walks into the assigned room.
Micah got popped for falling out on the floor in the lobby of the doctor's office.
He is pissed for having to sit still.
Grandma is ignoring us by reading the Bible on her Sony Reader (well it was mine, but I let her have it since I don't use it). I'm still surprised that she actually uses it.
We get into the examination room and Micah is a busy bee...touching and playing with everything!
He was extremely adorable though. He tried to help both the doctor and the nurse examine him, that is until they made him lay down. He always freaks out when he has to lay down.
Although he cried during most of the examination and during the shot, but before the doctor and/or the nurse left, he would wave goodbye and close the door on them.
Needless to say, we had a crazy funny time at the pediatrician's office...
