It may not look like it, but I actually cleaned my entire apartment today. Since we went to the birthday party yesterday, Clean Up Saturday was postponed to Sunday this week. And we started pretty early too! Micah was up at 4am and decided to wake me up just for the fun of it. He wanted nothing more than just for me to be awake with him. So I had to oblige him...not that I had a choice, he made sure that even when I tried to drift off, he would just jump on me to wake me up.
In turn, we've been cleaning since about 4:45am...an ungodly hour to be doing anything other than sleeping. I figured since I'm up, why not be productive?
Once I got into the swing of things and really making some headway, I noticed it was pretty quiet.
Do you know this boy had the audacity to fall asleep?
I watched him for a long time, considered waking him up lol
Then I realized that I still had to clean my bathroom and I didn't want him to smell the fumes. So off I go, cleaning the bathroom while he slept. (He had the nerve to sleep for 3 hours too!)
I finally transitioned his crib to a toddler bed. He's loving it! I just have to get the bed rail, which is right now on order at Wal-Mart. Hopefully, he'll actually sleep in it now.
I highly doubt it, but I have hope...
Grandma actually came over to see Micah and ended up staying for about 3 hours. She helped me a great deal (in her loving, yet annoying, way!).
Before she left, I was able to get lunch/dinner going. That's always such a task because Micah always wants to help. As you can see, he just stands right in front of the stove the entire time, saying Help! :)
After eating his fill, he is now sitting on my lap eating crackers. This boy has an appetite for days! :)
All in all, we had a good day. I got the entire apartment all cleaned, almost to the level of spring cleaning. I dumped loads of junk. It's amazing how much you can accumulate in a one-bedroom!
Now I'm going to relax. I would say take a nap, but that will never happen with Micah around. He will surely wake me up! :)
