Happy Birthday Grandma!

Today is Grandma's birthday...she makes 70 today!  If she was reading this blog, she would probably yell at me for putting her age out there, but it is worth mentioning that she is 70.  What an achievement! Plus, she definitely does not look her age so it's even more to celebrate.

Grandma is actually headed out on a 12-day Caribbean cruise with a few of her friends for her birthday.  At first, I was so jealous (I want to go on a cruise too), but I got over it really quickly.  She deserves a trip just for turning 70.  I hope she has tons of fun too, but knowing Grandma, she will probably come back with tons of complaints rather than stories of how great the trip was.

3 generations (Micah was 6 months here)
We all look alike, don't we?
Like I've said before, Grandma and I have a strange relationship, but I do love my mom.  She drives me absolutely nuts, but I can't imagine how these past 17 months would have gone if I didn't have her there for support.  Especially with Mam and Ano (maternal grandparents) being gone, it's even more so important that Micah knows his Grandma.  She has a great relationship with Micah (even though she probably drives him nuts even more so than me) and she showers him with love and affection.  That's exactly what he needs from Grandma.

This is the look she gives me when she doesn't
want to hear what I have to say

Just a little background on these pictures...

When Micah was born, I promised that we go take pictures every 3 months until he was at least a year old.  Well, I kept that promise.  And it seemed that every 3 months there was someone with us to get pictures.  Daddy came to the 1 month and 3 month photo sessions, Grandma came to the 6 months photo sessions...finally, it was just the 2 of us at the 9 and 12 month photo sessions.

Micah couldn't wait to get down
While I was changing Micah into his 2nd outfit for his 6 month photo session, Grandma decided to squeeze in some photos of herself.  Therefore, we have the pictures of her by herself above.

When I came out, I asked her why she was taking over our photo session.  She said, "What? You weren't going to buy pictures for me too??!!"

I responded, "Uh, no! The pictures are with all 3 of us, not just you!" She laughed and said, "Well, now you're buying photos of just me."

SMH...Like I said, we have a very strange relationship.

Happy 70th Mom! Wish you many more happy years to come!
