Micah and I have a tradition -- Clean Up Saturdays. At least twice a month, Micah and I do a thorough cleaning of my apartment. It involves vacuuming, dusting, changing bed sheets, cleaning the entire bathroom (not just the regular tub scrub I do once a week) -- you get it, we do a full cleaning and disinfecting of the apartment. It's so necessary for us to get this out of the way, especially in this horrible flu season this year. I've even started to spray the entire apartment with Lysol disinfectant spray in the mornings before heading out for work. I refuse to get sick again. We were sick over both the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays -- I'm just sick of being sick!
Since Micah was up at the crack of dawn again, I decided that we would have Clean Up Saturday. As soon as I say Clean Up Saturday, Micah runs out of the bedroom and grabs the broom. Then, he heads over to the closet where he knows the vacuum cleaner is and tries to open the door. Once I open the door and pull out the vacuum cleaner, he runs over to the cabinet where the duster is housed and grabs that too.
Micah can be so helpful when he's ready...
Micah has this love-hate relationship with the vacuum cleaner, so that's always an interesting experience, plus he loves pushing around the broom as though it is a vacuum cleaner. Here's some of the highlights of today's Clean Up Saturday.
Here is Micah licking the glass clean, right after I just cleaned it. Luckily, I use non toxic natural products, otherwise, I would have been much more traumatized.
Here's Micah working on the oven...lol
Here's Micah sweeping up his toys...
And the infamous battle with the vacuum cleaner...
